Triple Crown History

MiggyVP
Miguel Cabrera is on pace to finish this season with a .360/52/165. If he does win the triple crown this season could be even more special than you realize. The best combination of triple crown seasons in the past 100 years are .403/52/165 (Hornsby, Mantle, Gehrig). Remember that's three player's individuals season combined. Lets face it no one will ever hit .400 again, player's face too many different pitchers on a daily basis. That being said Miguel Cabrera is on pace to finish with the best triple crown season in the past 100 years. Can you believe that. Even if he doesn't win the triple crown this is one of the greatest seasons ever put together. Cabrera has a comfortable lead in Batting Average and Runs Batted In, he only trails Chris Davis by three home runs after his torrid pace he has been on.
