Let me preface this piece by saying, yes I am a Detroit fan, but in no way will that effect my judgment. Obviously Mvp races cannot be decided in August, I know this, but my American League, Most Valuable Player is the Detroit Tiger's third baseman, Miguel Cabrera. Now you may say (although idiotically) that he doesn't deserve it, that it should go to Chris Davis because he's hit so many home runs, let me stop you there. Davis may be having a great season but his season is no where near as great as Cabrera's. He leads the American League in hits, OBP, OPS, batting average, runs batted in and numerous other categories. Davis leads the league in two, slugging (only by a few points) and home runs. Cabrera's season can only be matched by Ruth and Fox. Disagree with me, if you must, but Cabrera is the obvious choice for MVP. Sorry, Davis I don't believe you even finish second (Cabrera, Trout, Davis). Thanks for reading. Leave feedback.
